BUSH POET

 Paddy Obrien – lives near Nimbin and for years did bush poetry, sung and played musical instruments, though says he is a bit rusty on the ukulele.

With his wife of 40 years (now deceased) he travelled and performed Australia, NZ and extensively through Canada under the name of The Irish Trio. He writes songs, poetry, sings and plays several musical instruments. Paddy was a winner of poetry competitions, including his original poems on the oracles of the bush in 2010 and again in 2013.

He has 4 CDs of his work, 3 poetry books, two of which are children’s comedy, and can perform in accents of the Irish, Scottish with a bit of Aussie thrown in for good measure.
