$90 per person – New Tour!
This tour is our most expensive for the week. It includes a cheese and yoghurt making session, morning tea, lunch and your travel with a wine tasting session on the way home.
You will take a trip to Coffs Harbour to The Big Banana. Here you can join one of two cheese making classes. The class goes for 1 hour. We can have two groups of 12 doing either of the classes, or one group doing one or the other of the classes. One group offered is ricotta and ricotta salat – this process starts from scratch. The second group will do quark (cream cheese), yoghurt, mascarpone and labna (yoghurt cheese). Some preparation is done before you get there for this group.
At the same outlet is free cheese tasting – with a most enticing and delicious selection of cheeses for you to purchase. If you like a bit of heat the jalapeno cheese was great, and the Nimbin Blue was excellent.
After your cheese making and tastings and buying spree you will go to the Hoey Moey for lunch. They are only able to offer the Chicken Schnitzel, chips, coleslaw and optional gravy as a $10.00 special. You can elect to select this option, or if you do not wish to have the chicken then opt for none choice. Apparently, there is a big three-day event on and they cannot offer any other option. So please select either the schnitzel, or the $10 towards your meal. We will pay the $10 included in your fare and you can pay the difference. Our paying for the meals means a much faster service. You also need to make a cold drink selection for morning tea.
I have arranged for a wine tasting at Nana Glen on the way back to Grafton at the Two Tails Winery (I wanted to let you have tapas for lunch but at $50 per person I wasn’t prepared to lumber you with that kind of cost). You may make purchases of their very nice, boutique wines.
