Ebor Outing – October 2023
There was a really good turnout for a place that was a little more challenging to get to, although Ray and Anna made it almost to Ebor when their campervan let them down and had to be towed back home. Others had family events that prevented them from coming, so a total of seven units with 13 people fronted up for the weekend.
The nights were cold, we even had a frost one night when it wasn’t too windy, but with a sheep graziers weather alert in place for the whole had reminded us that outdoor activities weren’t a good idea. Consequently, the ladies spent time playing card games and doing jigsaw puzzles, and the men made sure the fire was kept stoked up.
Unfortunately, the Finska and Washer Toss games languished in their boxes, hopefully, better luck next outing. Having to go outside the wonderful heated hall made it a unanimous decision to forgo these games for this weekend.
Most of us went to the Ebor Falls Hotel Motel Bistro on Saturday for a preordered lunch, which included the best fries most people had ever eaten, and everything was nicely cooked. Sunday we all packed up to go our different ways, hope to see all of you and more at Jacaranda.
